UPDATE as of June 18: Malacanang has issued Proclamation 600 declaring June 19, 2013 as a Special (Non-Working) Holiday in the Province of Laguna to commemorate 152^nd Birth Anniversary of Jose Rizal. In this regard, employees who are assigned to work on this day will be given premium pay in accordance with their company’s existing policies.

It’s a holiday in Laguna tomorrow!!!!! WOOOT.

The Palace declared last year that June 19, 2012 is a Philippine special non-working holiday in the city of Calamba and regional province of Laguna to commemorate the birthday of our national hero, Jose P. Rizal.
