I’ve been back to Tipsy Pig one time too many prior to this visit. And just this week, I was back twice. I think the new items ordered deserved a post.

On the Table
Sisig Platter P280
The smaller version of Tipsy Pig’s Belly Good Sisig Tacos, perfectly cooked crispy pork belly made to a local favorite sisig, wrapped in tortilla with Asian soy garlic
I’ve been eyeing this since the first time I visited and finally got the chance to try it. It arrived on a chopping board shaped like a pig. I like the textural crunch of the chopped pork belly and the slightly sweet Asian soy garlic. Squeeze a little bit of the calamansi sap for a spritely finish.
The Flaming Wings P295
Crispy fried wings, overdose with homemade buffalo sauce, and Bleu cheese
It had the right amount of heat that doesn’t make you sweat but reels you in for a bit of intensity. The buffalo sauce that it’s tossed in clings to the wings cloyingly that gives maximum flavor.
Vineyard Pizza P470
Roasted garlic spread, tomato confit, pancetta, mozzarella, grapes, and fresh basil
Crust is good except that everything comes off after one delicious bite but I could finish this pizza all by myself.
Creamy Carbonara P260
Fettuccini, bacon croutons, Parmesan cheese, and soft boiled egg to add to the creaminess
I’m not a big fan of carbonara and forgot to even take a photo but this was polished off eventually.
Pasta with Kesong Puti and Asparagus
It had all the right aspects going for it – al dente pasta, light cream, fragmented tastes of kesong puti and the crunch of the asparagus.
Grilled Ribeye Steak P1,320
11 oz. of grilled wet-aged ribeye, peppercorn jus, chili cherry tomatoes, a choice of mashed potatoes or crispy fries
The meat was fairly good quality and would have been a lot better if they didn’t cook it well done especially when we specifically asked for medium. That’s the biggest disappointment I guess but I liked the paprika salt it came with and it’s fairly priced for an 11oz steak.
Lava Cake P180 (2)
Molten chocolate cake oozing with warm chocolate ganache, topped with vanilla ice cream
I have yet to try the Spiced Chicken Quesadilla (P340), which is BBQ rubbed chicken, onion confit, melted cheese with spicy mango salsa and The Dirty Mexicana (P360), which is nachos overloaded with 3 kinds of cheese, beef, and pulled porl, jalapeno, pico de gallo and sour cream and some other items that intrigued me.
There’s certain smartness in the comfort food that Tipsy Pig is dishing out.
