The Blue Leaf and Our Awesome Planet Presents The Big Banquet

Last May 4, my friend JM and I checked out The Big Banquet event staged at the happening event place, The Blue Leaf Events Pavilion. The Blue Leaf, one of the country’s premier venues for weddings, debuts, and other milestone events, collaborated with the number one Philippine food and travel blog, Our Awesome Planet, to create a one-stop food tasting event like you’ve never seen before.

We’ve seen wedding expos here and there but couples who are getting married have to schedule separate times to have a sit-down tasting trial of caterers around the Metro. Upcoming brides and grooms go to great lengths planning the perfect wedding reception. The Big Banquet take all the frazzle and hassle away by bringing together a curated line-up of the country’s top caterers last May 4, 2014.

Instead of attending an assortment of wedding fairs, 12 caterers set up 12 different banquet services featuring their most unforgettably delightful dishes. The Big Banquet has taken out some of the stressful predicaments that go with planning for your special day –whether it’d be wedding, birthday, debut, anniversary or any once-in-a-lifetime occasion that calls for memorable dishes and reception.

The 12 apostles of fine catering featured their signature dishes from the appetizer, main dish, dessert, and drink categories. Get your gorge on Juan Carlo the Caterer’s Salmon with Tequila Cream Sauce, K by Cunanan’s Amaretto Bread Pudding, Albergus’ Cranberry and Bacon Stuffed Champignon, Center Table’s Eastern Shrimp Spring Rolls, and Cuillere’s Lengua Sevillana.

It didn’t stop there. Veteran Hizon’s served a 48-Hour Roasted US Beef Belly and TJIOE served up some Crispy Shell with Chicken Filling Yinyang Shrimp. Feast on Josiah’s Sundried Tomato and Cream Cheese Stuffed Roast Chicken, Mesclun’s Roast Pork Belly with Lechon Rice, Red Chef’s Arroz Con Leche, and Chef Florabel’s Quezo de Bola Cheesecake.

At Blue Leaf, their aim is to give their clients the best possible service every single time. By gathering the most respected caterers under one roof, the legwork has been laid out and all needed to be done is to relax and taste all the dishes in a spectacular setting at their own pace. It was one great event and well-paced out.

Fine food and excellent service are the hallmarks of every celebration at The Blue Leaf, and The Big Banquet is one window that shows how this tradition has lived on.
