Borough by Il Ponticello, Mom’s Cookies and Milk

Passionately chatting about food, I was recently asked by a friend (same one who commented first on my previous Borough entry) if I ever went back to Borough after I wrote about it. His first experience there was blah but reading good reviews about it, he wants to give it another chance. I said I have been back 4 times since the Borough entry.

Last time I was there was after my soul sista Maddie and I had a movie date. We watched the movie No Other Woman at Podium Cinema (the only Cinema with screening that suited our time) and afterwards barged into Borough for an almost midnight snack and some heart-to-heart bonding time.

I wanted to order something light and was bent on getting the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup but decided that it will just make me crave for more food. Maddie asked if the chocolate chicken wings are any good and I said I haven’t tried it but a friend has and she said it was interestingly good. We opted to share the dish.

The chocolate-covered chicken wings have apparent paprika taste that can be quite overwhelming. The cinnamon also makes it on the bitter side but it’s rescued by the presence of the chocolate. It was okay but I doubt I will order it again. Madz finished even my share so I guess she liked it.

Mom’s Milk and Cookies PHP 170

I have tried Borough’s Mom’s Milk and Cookies before during a lunch meeting at Borough and I was really excited to order it again that night. I haven’t had the chance to blog about it but I highly recommend ordering this. You know how people pour their heart over drinks and bar chows? Well, this is our version of that but over milk and cookies 🙂

I love the warm cookies of three kinds, that’s chewy and moist and the milk that comes with it. We almost ordered another batch if I didn’t remember that I should be on a diet. Riiiiiight.
