Petra and Pilar
Tuesday, September 9th, 2008Friday night, no plans but somehow the car brought us to Makati. We couldn’t decide where to go but since I’ve been meaning to buy Delimondo products, we trooped to Petra and Pilar.
Petra and Pilar is your high-end cafeteria. Menu is not all that different from what you can buy in your normal office canteen. Price range from PHP 60 – PHP 120. The dishes are a couple degrees higher than the norm but what sets Petra and Pilar apart is the total ambience when you dine in. The place is really clean and service is impressive –from the guard who assists in parking to opening of the door to a competent wait staff. There’s Wi Fi too. You will enjoy your simple dining experience.

While waiting for our food to be served, I went to the Delimondo corner to check out their offerings. I bought 3 cans of the popular ranch-style corned beef (PHP 120 each).
My 1-month no rice diet was cut short to 2 days because Bubba made me eat rice. I really liked the chicken curry. Bubba suggested that we should have tried the Beef Mushroom since they claim it’s their bestseller and they never pull it out of their daily menu.
