New presentor Colt 45 brought you URCC XII Supremacy at A-venue Events Hall, Makati Avenue, Makati City.  The event that was set on July 5, 2008 highlighted the match between Caloy Baduria and Eduard Folayang (Link: ).  I didn’t have to wait though for the main bout to see live and raw MMA action as all undercards gave a variety of quality combat sport.  I have to say that this was the best set of undercard match-up as almost all fights were finished in round 1.  Besides not hearing the Round 2 bell, fights were completed under 5 minutes except for one which is match number 9 between Justin Cruz and Lino Tagacay.  Justin Cruz remained to be the Bantamweight title holder as Lino finally gave in on Justin’s ankle lock midway in Round 2.

Former Southeast Asian Games Champion Eduardo Folayang who seems to be made out of steel covered with flesh went on a slugfest on Caloy Baduria’s face.  The ring floor was definitely not spared as blood and sweat splattered on the white sheet.  Agony of the fighters was not constrained within the stage as the intimate space of the event area carried the pain to the audience.

It was an exciting event all throughout.  I cannot wait for the next one.  Oh, URCC 13, please come around the bend.  By the way, I have a feeling I’ve met that middleman in the ring sometime before.

At the advent of the 12^th installment of URCC, Supremacy, a pre-event was held at Warehouse 135 June 28, 2008.  What a long day it has been starting at 7am with a Sky Cable event at Mall of Asia.  11pm, I was right in front of a very intense fight at Warehouse, which CW was refereeing.

Standing there watching the match up close is really something else.  You can feel the intensity from the barely clad bodies on the mats.  I cannot wait to watch the upcoming URCC event.

After collecting a win over Frank The Crank Camacho, Caloy Baduria will be back in the ring waging his middleweight belt against Lakay Wushu’s Edward Folayang.  It’s going to be an exciting match this coming Saturday since these two fighters’ previous matches are correlated to each other.  Caloy has defeated all his opponents by technical knockouts but former URCC champion Allan Co handed his solitary loss.  On the other corner, Edward wreaked Allan’s clean record and gave him his first ever defeat.
