Milksnake Surprise

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

Bubba and I love playing tricks on each other. Ya, ya, everybody is a comic. But not everyone can pull off pretty mean practical jokes -consistently. We always try to top each other’s prank. Our favorite pastime is scaring each other. Hiding then jolting the other from the shadows.

The latest prank I pulled on Bubba was the “milksnake surprise.” I found a ballpen shaped like a milksnake in my sister’s room 3 days after Bubba bought his newest pet. What a coinky-dink right? However, it took me more than a month to actually execute my plan. But it was well worth it.

May 20, 2008. Bubba had his gym bag lying on the floor carelessly. I slipped in the rubber milksnake while he was busy working. After successfully sneaking the milksnake inside his bag, I tried to call his attention near his bag. “Can I borrow blah?” “I like the blah” I tried to veer his attention inside the bag so many times but to no avail. He didn’t notice the milksnake.

Finally, he was standing over his bag about to get something when he stopped short in his tracks. He did a double… and jumped! Hahahaha… he looked again and saw that it was only a rubber milksnake. He thought it was his new baby snake, Jigsaw! He thought it escaped from its cage and went inside his bag.

The look on his face (and his getting startled) is so priceless!!!

Writing on the Ceiling

Friday, May 16th, 2008

(CAUTION: NOT for people who have strong gag reflexes)

Last Saturday morning, I woke up at 9am, mulled for a bit then opened the tube.  Still lazy to get up, I hugged my pillow tight and closed my eyes for a bit.  Thoughts were running like “What was I dreaming of last night?” and “what is the game plan today?” Mind continued to wander.

I opened my eyes.  Did a double take.  Cocked my head to the ceiling.  A blue note (from my Ragnarok notepad) was taped to my ceiling.

“Good morning Mahal.”  The note read.

My face broke into a smile.  I hit speed dial #1.  Ring Ring.  No answer.  He must still be snoozing.

Dear Bubba,

You are the biggest reason why I smile in the morning.  With or without a note.

Love,

Boozie
