Prince of Jaipur

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

One of the first dinners where I noticed CW was flirting with me was at Prince of Jaipur.  I was waiting for Kenny to pick me up at the gym to go an event in Absinth but CW lured me away and insisted that I have dinner with him first.  (Oh yes, I’m already expecting him to deny all this.)

Anyway, after so many months, we finally got to eat here again Friday.  Travel Factor assembly for the Calaguas trip was at 9pm in Shell McKinley.  We arrived at 8pm and decided to get dinner first.

On the Table:

Bollywood

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

I had a lunch buffet at Bollywood, Greenbelt 3 in August 2006.  Found the photos in my archives.  I’m craving for Bollywood right now…

It was around PHP545++ that time.  Even if the Indian food had a commercial taste than authentic, I loved it!!!  I stuffed my mouth with loads of samosas, tikka, curry, kofta and thier soft naan…

New Bombay

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

As you enter the glass door, first thing one will notice is the ethnic Indian flair displayed on the wall in this 2-floor restaurant.  The chairs and tables are black with gold details.

On the Table:

bombay7

Saffron Rice PHP 180

It was just that yellow rice.  There wasn’t much flavor in it nor did it smell like it had saffron.  But I liked that they garnished the rice with dried prunes and apricots.

bombay5

Chicken Curry PHP 180

Anticipating that their mild hot is really spicy, we specifically mentioned not to make it spicy.

bombay10

Chicken Kebab PHP 150

It was dry and kind of crumbles when you eat it.

bombay1

Chapati PHP 40

Thin Crispy Bread

bombay3

Naan PHP40.  Indian Soft Bread

bombay6

Samosas PHP 80.  It was served with regular chutney and tamarind chutney
