I had a lunch buffet at Bollywood, Greenbelt 3 in August 2006.  Found the photos in my archives.  I’m craving for Bollywood right now…

It was around PHP545++ that time.  Even if the Indian food had a commercial taste than authentic, I loved it!!!  I stuffed my mouth with loads of samosas, tikka, curry, kofta and thier soft naan…

Sunday dinner was spent at Tender Bob’s.  We were planning to hit Steak Town in QC, but the hungry pangs made us end up in Tender Bob’s in Greenhills.  Tender Bob’s very first branch was in Greenbelt 3 before when it still had its food court.  It was pretty strong then as people kept piling up in front of their counter.  I remember I used to love ordering the spaghetti, roasted chicken and potato chips from Tender Bob’s. 

Potato Chips (I forget the actual name) PHP 145 ++

Obviously it was popular on the table and to me too as it was finished before I can take a snapshot of it.  Serving is good size and comes with sour cream (which used to be thicker before) and cheese dip.  I love ordering this and bringing it to the movie as my nibbles.

Joanne and I ordered 1 Porterhouse Steak each.  Hers was hard to cut into but mine was okay.  The steak is about 5 oz and for PHP 270, you’d expect it to be ordinary.

Chicken Steak PHP 165 ++

All steak orders come with vegetables (which are bland and unseasoned) and one order of side dish, which can either be fries, mashed potato, garlic or java rice.  It was once a favorite fast food outlet for me.  But Tender Bob’s is not how I used to remember it, at least not with the food.  I also used to like the burgers from Tender Bob’s because their beef patties are of premium quality.  I’m not sure if that has changed over the years with the cost of prices nowadays.

Before the Game Plan Premiere of Star World and Sky Cable at Greenbelt 3 Cinema 2, we headed to Bubba Gump for a seafood-oriented dinner. Bubba Gump has always been one of my favorite family restaurants, which is inspired by the movie that starred Academy award winner Tom Hanks. The movie hits a soft spot because my sister Joyce is a special child. I treat her like a regular kid because I think sometimes she is smarter than me, but I also can’t help but spoil her sometimes. She is such a bundle of joy to anyone who is lucky enough to endear himself to Joyce.

Dragging my mom, Joyce, Joanne and Chris (I have to use Chris on this entry as to not confuse the restaurant to my term of endearment for him) to Bubba Gump, I was so excited to sink my mouth to those famous shrimps (of course dinner courtesy of my dear mother! Thanks mom!)!

Run Across America Sampler PHP 530

Bubba’s far out dips and chips, chilly shrimp, spicy chicken strips, hush pups, and mama blues fried shrimps. An all out starter to any Bubba Gump meal. It has the best of the appetizers where cold shrimp with tomato matches perfectly with the fried butter-flavored crab balls and shrimp balls. The nachos and artichoke-cheese dip are yummy too!!!

The Ultimate Combo PHP 675

Flat iron steak and grilled skewered shrimp with coleslaw and mashed potatoes. I never fail to order this whenever I’m at this restaurant. The 2 lb flat iron steak is juicy and lean and it complements perfectly with the grilled shrimps. I love the smoky grilled taste of the skewered shrimps, which I usually drizzle with lemon pulp to bring out the flavor.

Boneless breast of chicken, fresh golden corn, mashed potatoes with gravy, better than you can imagine!

After filling our stomachs with good food. We headed to the Cinema and met with Racquel, King, Jomar, Chai and Lorenz who are comprised of our movie group.

I was happy that I got to have two dinners with Fay during her visit to PI last December.  The first one was short notice as Fay and Patrick only informed me on the same day, but all was well since my schedule was open that evening.  The second one was planned way ahead with our other DLSU friends in Abe Serendra.

During the dinner with Fay and the Engineering guys, they decided to have it at Sentro.  Patrick picked me up from the office and we met with Fay and Eric at Greenbelt 3.  CW joined after work.

What a fun evening reminiscing about college days and teasing Fay and Eric!!!  Eric paid for dinner!!! He must felt feverish that day.
