Thursday: Just a quickie on Chili’s Burger Day: they should have anticipated the volume of people and not made people wait for an hour only to tell them that they ran out of burgers.  I, for one, would not wait that long.  I’m just not the waiting type, but there was an old couple who waited on the bench outside Chili’s Greenhills only to find out an hour later that they cannot be accommodated with the promo.  We came from the Frisbee class in San Lorenzo Village, Makati, but we didn’t get to play.  We were supposed to join the class with Deneb but ended up just watching the class.  We saw Ali Katibi there after such a long time.  Anyway, we just drowned our sorrows of not getting the Chili’s promo through McDo drive-through.

Friday: We had dinner at Yutaka Izakaya.  If you want a quick, economical Japanese restaurant that has that authentic vibe, this is the place to go.

New Bombay

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

As you enter the glass door, first thing one will notice is the ethnic Indian flair displayed on the wall in this 2-floor restaurant.  The chairs and tables are black with gold details.

On the Table:

bombay7

Saffron Rice PHP 180

It was just that yellow rice.  There wasn’t much flavor in it nor did it smell like it had saffron.  But I liked that they garnished the rice with dried prunes and apricots.

bombay5

Chicken Curry PHP 180

Anticipating that their mild hot is really spicy, we specifically mentioned not to make it spicy.

bombay10

Chicken Kebab PHP 150

It was dry and kind of crumbles when you eat it.

bombay1

Chapati PHP 40

Thin Crispy Bread

bombay3

Naan PHP40.  Indian Soft Bread

bombay6

Samosas PHP 80.  It was served with regular chutney and tamarind chutney
