I missed the URCC University Challenge last Saturday.  I only caught the 5^th game and had to leave immediately for the Attica Launch and Chicane.  Good thing I caught the 5^th game because it was the last game that CW refereed that night.

For the first time in Philippine MMA history, arch rivals DLSU and Ateneo will face off not in the court but in ring!!! Three main event bouts will feature MMA fighters from these two prestigious universities at the 

Adidas King of the Road happening on October 11, Fort.

Chuck Lidell is in Manila to promote MMA in the Philippines and will hold an open training session in Atrium, MOA this coming Sunday, September 21, 2008, 3pm.

Chuck Lidell, dubbed as the “Iceman” of UFC is in town!!!  He is a former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion who showcases intense kickboxing and excellent wrestling skills.  Despite being known for his takedown defense, he is tremendously admired for his stand-up fighting stance and strong knockout punches.  The Iceman is an unorthodox striker who throws his punches on a side step and from different angles.

Gear up MMA fans and see your MMA idol in the flesh on Sunday!  Head to the Atrium, Mall of Asia.

In the Philippine leg, participants will bike around 67km to 170km from Vigan to Subic Bay (about 500 km total) to help raise awareness about cervical cancer.  The activity will take about five days.  There will be vehicles to provide backup and support.
