From September 7 –28, Pick Manila becomes your shopping destination in the city.  Open from 7am- 2pm every Sunday, weekend shoppers can now pick from a variety of stalls that sell food (savories to pastries), organic products, and crafts.

 

 

During the launch, we were given “Celadon money” that we can use in shopping around the market.  It made me remember the first allowance I got and how excited I was to go buy my little self some candies.  Since it was a hot Sunday morning, the first purchase was a cold drink of Italian soda. 

 

 

 

 

Franny asked me what my first buy was.  I told her the blueberry drink that I was enjoying.  I had Nina take a sip too.  Soon after, I see the group holding the Italian soda drinks which prompted a photo op.  Italian soda was light and not too sweet.  Since it was soda it had fizz, which is everyone’s favorite part of any cola.  This one though didn’t make me bloated throughout the day.

 

 

 

Bubba and I also tried the food at the Takoyaki corner where they also offer noodles and dumplings.  The dumplings were a hit for Bubba.  On the food side, I also bought some huge chocolate dipped oatmeal cookies, a papaya fruit, garlic crab and sushi for my family.  Since we still had some money left after our “food” necessity was filled, we bought some toys from the toy stall. 

 

 

 

My happy purchase that day was the Italian soda and the angel wings!  Goody!
