A Silver Lining

Today, I am feeling lousy.  My budget report had a few glitches (few but I’m such a perfectionist that I have to beat myself up over it).  It’s funny because the figure I have in my brain is correct but it doesn’t show in the Excel sheet.  On top of that, I am sick.  It started last night but since I felt better this morning I decided to go to work.  We have Antarctica air-conditioning, which breeds whatever startup virus I have.  It worsened after lunch, fever and tonsillitis.  I was supposed to go home right after work.  Now as I write this, I have nasal drip which means I am typing on sticky green keyboard.

But how can you feel bad when somebody delivers to your office 2 tickets to an Alicia Keys concert?  I actually forgot that she was having a concert this month!  I totally love Alicia Keys.  Her face, her personality, her body, the incredible talent –there’s nothing not to love about her.  I love her songs.  If I were a guy, I’d court Alicia Keys or Nelly Furtado.  I love their music and the character behind it.

Oh and today, my blog stat broke the highest viewing “day” record and showed a 20% increase.  Yay!
