How giddy am I to attend the WordCamp Philippines (http://philippines.wordcamp.org) event? Oh boy, brimming with excitement!!!
I first read about this much talked about September 8 event at Ajay’s website. Mindanao Bloggers (http://www.mindanaobloggers.com) are the organizers behind this event. The venue of this learning seminar is at College of Saint Benilde.
What’s all the excitement about for me? I’ve been bugging Jayvee (Link: http://abuggedlife.com/) to teach me how to go about my Wordpress site. This blog started when I talked to my former officemate and friend Martin about my plans to move out of multiply (where I’ve been free riding on for so many years) and into my own personal address. I created the layout for my site and sent the photos to my officemate and told him my requirements so he can do all the necessary programming ish, which I thought for the life of me, will never understand. It was tough because I only get to discuss the initial revisions on my site with Martin, who I call Martini, through chat. But since I wanted to get it moving, I slipped on so many other details. I don’t even know how to put badges on my webby and I have three groups who have been asking me to include their badges on the site. There are so many things to improve on my Between Bites site. Imagine, I only noticed a month ago that my page didn’t have a next or previous button. So, this is a must to attend event for me to learn more about websites and Wordpress.
You know you have to attend this event if it’s soft candy that comes to mind when somebody says widget.
