April 6, 2006. I was so excited to catch Ice Age 2 as soon as it was released in theaters since the first installment really made me a big fan. Watching the reruns now on Star Movies still makes me laugh. Anyway, Christian, Theo, Kara, Marc, Chai, Mejie, Tim and me decided to watch the 2nd installment together at Greenbelt 3. The movie started at 6pm.
You think you tend to lower your expectations on comeback movies but Ice Age 2: The Meltdown was as hilarious as the first one!!! I remember an Ice Cream meltdown after the movie. There was free ice cream after the movie but Marc’s ice cream fell so I had to give him mine. Everyone enjoyed the free ice cream since it was from Fruits in Ice Cream (as far as my memory goes). I had the bright idea of forcing everyone to play the Trivia Mania at Timezone courtesy of my Gold card haha. And so, we played. Chris had the lowest score!!!
But walking towards Timezone while chatting with Tee Dee who was behind me, I clung to what I thought was SE’s arm. Christian started laughing. I looked at the person beside me and shrieked when I saw that it was somebody else! It was a middle-aged dad holding the hand of his kid on his right while I was comfortably clinging to his left arm.
With a tiny voice, I said sorry and hurried to Timezone while the rest of the group was howling in laughter behind me.
What a boo-boo!!! I hope I didn’t scare the kid causing a permanent damage. Chris kept teasing me about squealing. I did not squeal. Everyone started teasing me that I was a home wrecker.
